Emergency callouts attended within four hours
Fire alarm subcontract engineering · M25 & Essex
V-TEG Engineering provides qualified fire alarm engineering to fire and security companies as subcontract labour: reactive callouts, BS 5839 servicing, remedials and small works across London and Essex. I attend in my own van, carrying tools, spares and calibrated test equipment, so most faults are cleared on the first visit and your paperwork arrives the same day.

What you can send me
Priced by the day, the half day or the visit, either job by job or against a standing rate card. Your paperwork, your certificates and your client relationship all stay with you.
01
Faults, false alarms, unwanted signals and dead panels. I attend fully equipped, isolate the cause, repair it where parts allow and report back the same day.
02
Quarterly, half yearly and annual visits, with device counts, defect lists and service records completed on your own documentation.
03
Clearing the defect list: device swaps, sounder additions, cable repairs, zone corrections and wiring brought back into compliance.
04
Containment, cabling, device fixing and termination on new build and refurbishment programmes.
05
Full commissioning, zone charts drawn as fitted and completion certificates ready to hand over under your name.
06
Witness testing against the cause and effect matrix, covering interfaces, dampers, lifts, AOVs and plant shutdowns, each one signed off line by line.
07
Direct replacements, loop migrations and upgrades from conventional to addressable systems, with the minimum time out of service.
08
VESDA and equivalent aspirating detection, including pipework checks, airflow faults, filter changes and detector servicing.
09
Stairwell and corridor systems, covering actuator faults, control panel resets, servicing and interface testing.
10
Drop testing, resetting and interface verification, recorded against the asset register.
11
Monthly function tests, full duration tests over three hours, luminaire and battery replacements and logbook entries.
12
Annual inspection, replacement and signage, kept in step with the alarm service visit to save a second attendance.
Systems & equipment
Send me a site with any of the below and I will be at the panel, not on the phone. Where a system is unfamiliar I say so before the visit rather than after it.
Engineer level programming and loop work on the main addressable platforms, together with conventional panels and detection from the usual device manufacturers.
Fully equipped
Every callout is attended in my own van, stocked and calibrated for fire alarm work. You do not need to arrange access equipment or hire in test kit. Where a part is not on board, you get the exact make, model and quantity needed before I leave site, photographed, so you can price it or order it without a second survey visit.
A fully insured works van, taxed for business use and ready to travel across London and Essex at short notice.
Loop and cable testers, multimeters, sound level meter, smoke and heat test equipment, and a laptop for panel programming and diagnostics.
A full set of hand and power tools, plus cable, glands, containment and fixings, so a repair rarely waits on a trip to the wholesaler.
Detectors, bases, sounders, call points and batteries for the systems I see most often, so straightforward faults are cleared on the first visit rather than becoming a return.
Ladders and steps carried as standard, with IPAF and PASMA training for towers and powered platforms where the height demands it.
Full PPE, current cards and tickets, and risk assessments and method statements prepared before I set off.
Anything I cannot fit on the day comes back to you as a written list of makes, models and quantities with photographs of the labels, ready for you to price.

How the arrangement works
V-TEG Engineering is run by Imran Joseph, its Managing Director and its engineer. Every visit you instruct is attended by the same person you spoke to. There is no agency layer, no unvetted second tier labour and nobody unexpected arriving on site.
Work is instructed by email or phone, attended in your uniform or neutral workwear as you prefer, and reported the same day with photographs, device details and a recommendation. Your client never hears my company name unless you want them to.
Invoiced weekly or monthly against your PO, CIS deducted where it applies.
References
Rather than publish quotes here, I will put you directly in touch with the contract managers who instruct me, so that you can ask about attendance, reporting quality and conduct on site yourself. Ask when you enquire and I will supply names and numbers.
Tell me the type of work and the area and I will send my rate card, insurance schedule and certificates back the same day.
